Seasons of the Sun

Es una de las canciones más emblemáticas de los 70. Su pegajosa melodía, su letra melancólica, así como la interpretación de Terry Jacks la hicieron un hit que aún se sigue escuchando en estaciones de radio dedicadas a los éxitos del pasado y en listas de reproducción de servicios como Spotyfi o Amazon Music.
El canadiense había pasado varios años tratando de triunfar en el espectáculo por medio de la incursión en varios grupos, haciendo un dueto con una cantante Susan Pesklevits que se convirtió en su esposa y con la cual después conformó el grupo Poppy Family a lado de varios amigos.
La reciente separación del grupo en 1972, y la búsqueda en solitario de la fama por parte de él y su mujer hicieron que el músico buscara otras formas de ganarse la vida, por lo que preparó varias canciones, dentro de ellas “Seasons of the Sun”, la cual fue grabada por el conjunto formado por Mike Love, Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Al Jardine y Dennis Wilson.
